Giving a new turn to 1984 Sikh Genocide cases the court has directed the CBI to procure the examination of S. Jasbir Singh (Presently in California). Jasbir Singh is a witness of 1984 Massacre and claims that he saw Jagdish Tytler of Congress securing death for Sikhs in an organized way. It is noteworthy that CBI had recently grated clean-chit to Tytler claiming that one of 5 witnesses is dead, another has turned hostile, two have not said anything and one Jasbir Singh is untraceable. After this some sections of media traced Jasbir Singh and he said that he is willing to depose against Tytler. A Court has directed the CBI to have a re-look at the 1984 Sikh genocide case against Congress MP and former Union minister Jagdish Tytler. Now the CBI says that it will contact Interpol and US authorities if need be, to bring him to India for deposition and cross-examination.
The CBI is still hesitating to act on strong lines of inquiry and is expressing doubts over Jasbir Singh’s conduct. There are few chances of Justice in this 23 year old case but still a thin ray of hope is pending.
